A Bit About The Artist
Born 28 years ago in the tiny farming village of Paraiso, Belize, Central America, Daniel Cano is a naturally gifted artist. Daniel has never had any formal technical training but his talent is evident in his paintings.
Working with acrylic on canvas, his subjects include the exotic wildlife of Belize from floral and fauna, birds to mammals, to sea- life, all creatures great and small.
Daniel was invited by the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), to portray the City of Corozal for the opening of the Corozal House of Culture , February, 2011. His work can also be found on numerous civic and private business buildings. In addition Daniel has completed several portraits working from personal photographs from the client but adding his personal interpretation of the scene.
Daniel’s is one of 25 artists in Belize to be selected to paint scenes of Belize involving Coca-Cola products and sponsored by Bowen & Bowen, the Coca-Cola Distributor. The 25 paintings were part of a traveling exhibit throughout Belize and are now in their permanent collection.
Daniel’s paintings are in art collections in Belize, Canada, England and the United States.
